  • Non-renewable grant for a period of 12 months
  • Doctoral researcher : stipend $28,000 
  • Post-doctoral researcher : stipend $32,000

BAEF research fellowships 2021-2022 can be initiated between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. Fellows should be in residence in Belgium during the tenure of their fellowship and stay for a period of 12 months. If the Fellow chooses to remain in Belgium for less than 12 months, the stipend will be prorated accordingly. The minimum fellowship period is 6 months.

Requirements:

  1. Be citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  2. Doctoral applicants have to be registered in a Ph.D. or equivalent degree program in the United States
  3. Post-doctoral applicants have to hold a Ph.D. degree and by July 1, 2021 have no more than 2 years since obtaining their Ph.D.
  4. Submit official transcripts as evidence of outstanding Bachelor’s and Master’s degree records

In addition to a completed application form, applicants must furnish :

  • A brief autobiographical statement
  • A statement of purpose
  • Undergraduate and graduate transcripts

Completed application for the 2021-2022 Fellowship must be submitted in a pdf document attached to an email to [email protected]
